It was amazing.
This weekend sees the launch of the first WOWZERS festival, a FREE two-day event packed with a series of workshops, live bands and dj sets to bring awareness of gender inequality.
In collaboration with Women of the World Festival, at the Southbank Centre, WOWZERS will run from 12 till late at LSE Student Union, in Central London.
Daytime activities include group discussions on street harassment, interactive sessions on queer history and workshop aimed at empowering women as individuals and a professionals.
In the evenings, it’s time for some fun with cabaret acts, live bands and dj sets – curated by Carousel & The Girls Are.

May 2014 brings along lots of great events for independent press lovers!
Last week, DIY CULTURE announced their 2014 edition at Rich Mix on Sunday, May 25.
Now it’s the turn of The London Radical Bookfair & Alternative Press takeover at the Bishopgate Institute, Shoreditch, on May 10.
